Our client are anambitious collective of designers,architects and interior experts specialising in retail experience
We are looking for a Design Coordinator within our growing Retail Design Delivery team.
The ideal candidate would be someone with a passion for architecture and design.You will also need to be highly motivated,organised and have exceptional communication skills.The role will involve inspiring,coordinating,managing,and approving the design of individual stores to ensure the highest quality of retail design is achieved to meet the vision for our clients’ environments.
Working closely with our Design Manager,the Design Coordinator will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to deliver effective design strategies and visions,tailored to each site.
We are looking for an organised individual with a passion for design.We expect you to be a team player,maintaining close relationships with other staff members along with our client’s teams
The Design Coordinatorwill be an exemplary communicator and have a responsive and conscientious attitude with the ability to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
* Setting the retail design principles for shopping centre environments.
* Achieve a smooth transition and good working relationship with retailers from concept to store opening.
* Provide inspiration and develop good design practices with your assigned retailers.
* Understand the retailer’s brand aspirations and operational requirements, negotiating workable solutions to achieve high standards within their store fitouts.
* Attendregular meetings with client and retailer teams to provide updates and status reports.
* Write design standards and develop design guides for shopping centre environments.
Skill Set
* Be a strong communicator with excellent English written and oral skills.
* Have a strong passion for the creation, management and implementation of great design.
* Strong interest in remaining upto date with design trends,materials and build processes.
* High level negotiating skills in aretaildesign and construction environment.
* Good working knowledge of UK Planning, Building Regulations and Standards.
* The ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
Software requirements
* Understanding of Adobe CreativeSuite [InDesign and Photoshop] is advantageous but not essential.
* Fluency with Microsoft Officesuite is essential.
Training for retail design delivery is available for candidates who have the right skill sets and baseline attitude.
