✓We're supporting a specialist design and production company who provide visuals, audible warnings and safety solutions, they have been doing this for almost half a century, so they really do understand their market well.
✓Due to healthy growth within the company, and a forever growing order book, they are now in a position to extend their design team
✓They're looking for a Design Engineer who will be responsible for designing detailed components using SolidWorks, but also to perform simulation analysis of parts and assemblies
✓Responsibilities, but are not limited to
✓Accurately create and manipulate product design via Solidworks taking into accountaesthetics, materials, ergonomics, size, cost, accreditations, safety, installation, processand environmental issues
✓Design components to aid production and any other asset required by the company
✓Perform simulation analysis of parts and assemblies
✓Produce technical drawings
✓Produce assembly instructions and BOMs
✓Produce product datasheets
✓Ability to forecast accurate design time
✓You may be required to undertake other duties commensurate with the role as directed by the Technical DirectorExperiences required
✓Must have experience designing for plastics
✓Competent in 3D modelling using Solidworks is ideal, but experience in Inventor or Solid Edge will be considered
✓Able to create renders using SolidWorks Visualise, but similar software will be considered
✓Comfortable in performing simulation analysis using SolidWorks Simulation, but similar software will be considered
