Design Engineer
Description✓My client is a well-established Mobile Elevating Work Platform manufacturer and one of the largest in Europe which supplies worldwide
✓They use state of the art software with vigorous testing to ensure that the best products are produced
✓Due to continued growth and work load they are looking for a Design Detailer with strong Hydraulics knowledge to join their team
✓As a Design Detailer you will be responsible for supporting the Hydraulics Team with drafting hydraulic components and producing hydraulic schematics
✓Title – Design Detailer - Hydraulics
✓Location – Milton Keynes
✓Salary - £35,000 basic salary, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, pension scheme, Life insurance, healthcare scheme, annual bonus and company family days & lunches.
✓Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
✓Supporting projects by completing detailing activities to meet projects scheduling requirements.
✓Performing basic design calculations.
✓Preparing detailed hydraulic schematics.
✓Prepare hydraulic component specifications.
✓Undertake drawing changes to existing components.
✓Implement change control of components in line with the function.
✓Prepare concept hydraulic schematics.
✓To apply you MUST have or hold:
✓Drafting experience using AutoCAD, Creo.
✓An apprenticeship or HND/HNC
✓Good understanding of hydraulic systems and schematics.
✓Good knowledge of hydraulic components.
✓An understanding of electrical systems is a benefit.
✓The ability to complete basic hydraulic design calculations.
✓Knowledge of hose and adaptors.
✓2 years industry experience in a similar role.
✓Experience in Automation Studio or a similar package is a benefit.
✓Keen eye for detail.
✓Consistent with production high quality work.
✓Strong communicator and able to work alone as well as in a team environment.
