✓We have a brand-new opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias, to join a highly established printing company in the Cambridgeshire area.
✓As a Maintenance Engineer you will be joining a dynamic team responsible for ensuring that all equipment and systems operate at peak performance
✓This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical skills, a good understanding of electrical systems, and an ability to work from drawings and plans
✓You will have the opportunity to lead the maintenance team and be involved in Total Productive Maintenance [TPM] activities, as well as working with equipment service contractors when needed.
✓Whilst based in the UK, the position will also involve occasional visits to our Berlin facility to undertake maintenance tasks there

✓Job Responsibilities
✓Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians to ensure timely completion of tasks and continuous improvement of maintenance operations
✓Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program that reduces downtime, increases equipment reliability, and improves overall efficiency
✓Research and recommend equipment upgrades and modifications to improve performance, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance safety
✓Oversee maintenance projects and work with contractors to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and budget requirements
✓Contribute to the development of maintenance policies and procedures, and identify opportunities for process improvements
✓Investigate and troubleshoot equipment failures and develop solutions to prevent reoccurrence
✓Manage and track maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and work order history
✓Deal with external suppliers of parts and the machine manufacturers to ensure machines are repaired in a timely manner
✓Collaborate with production, quality, and safety departments to ensure equipment meets operational requirements and regulatory compliance
✓Continuously improve technical knowledge and stay up-to-date with advances in technology, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
✓Person Specification
✓Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment, with the ability to strip and reassemble machinery
✓Strong mechanical and electrical skills with a relevant engineering qualification, such as an ONC/OND/HNC or an Electrical/Mechanical qualification
✓Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
✓Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team
✓Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical and analytical approach to troubleshooting equipment issues
✓Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
✓Knowledge of current environmental and health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance
✓Experience with welding and fabrication and the ability to operate hand and power tools
✓Experience with cooling, chiller and air systems, single and 3 phase electrical systems, pneumatics and hydraulic systems
