✓Our client, who protect complex and highly sensitive information within the Defence industry on a global scale are currently looking for a Head of Systems who’ll be responsible for providing direction and leadership for a large team of Systems Engineers and Systems Test Engineers.
✓Your duties:
✓* Lead and develop a skilled team of Systems and Systems Test Engineers by providing mentorship and training, and ensure team members are recruited as per business requirements.
✓* Direct technical strategy and influence project direction, ensuring the optimal approach, architecture, design, and toolchain for short and long-term business success.
✓* Oversee the design, development, and delivery of high-quality Systems Engineering and Systems Test artefacts for multiple projects within project schedules and company processes.
✓* Accountable for input into bids, customer design reviews, and internal design reviews to ensure successful outcomes.
✓* Collaborate with system architects, hardware, firmware, and software architects for consistency, modularity, and technical excellence.
✓* Ensure adherence to project and company Requirements Management Plans, Systems Engineering Management Plans, and Configuration Management Plans, and actively maintain the Business Management System.
✓* Provide technical proposals, effort estimates, costs, and risk assessment for bids and proposals leading to contract awards and project delivery.
✓* Work with project management and engineering leads to develop proposals for cost optimization and margin increase.
✓* Ensure compliance with government regulations regarding information security.
✓What we’re looking for:
✓* A relevant degree, ideally a STEM subject
✓* Demonstrated leadership experience, resource management skills, and process improvement expertise.
✓* Strong expertise in Systems Engineering, V-Model, and processes / lifecycles.
✓* Proven ability to develop requirements and design compliant systems.
✓* Strong technical writing skills and experience conducting formal technical reviews.
✓* Experience as a Subject Matter Expert and ability to develop new areas of expertise.
✓* Advanced knowledge of System Engineering practices, methodologies, and technology trends.
