Maintenance Technician - Mechanical Fitter

DescriptionLandmarc currently require an HGV Fitter/Technician to join our thriving business
The role will involve carrying out inspections, MOT preparation, basic fault finding and minor repairs on small number of vehicles
The majority of servicing is undertaken on a set 6 monthly servicing plan due to the limited mileage undertaken.
The successful candidate will be a good team player working within a small but dedicated team also with the ability to work alone or with minimum supervision.

Main ResponsibilitiesCarry out limited mechanical maintenance, minor repairs and fault finding on a small fleet of 8 vehicles which comprise Landrovers, trailers and HGV’s.
Preparation of vehicles for testing and inspection
To ensure documentation for all tasks is completed.
Experience of communicating with customers
The Ideal CandidateCompletion of level 3 qualification such as City and Guilds, ONC, NVQ or equivalent supported by relevant experience.
Hold a minimum of category C driving licence [Cat H desirable]
Knowledge of H&S such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
Knowledge of military vehicles is desirable but not essential for this role.
Undertake appropriate training on types of equipment should this be necessary
