Maintenance Technician required to join a well-established automotive manufacturer, based in Sheffield on a permanent basis offering a competitive salary.

The Maintenance Technician role:
You will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
     You will also be responsible for improvements, installations, inspections, documentation, fault finding and other engineering tasks
Therefore, you will be an experienced fault finder on electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems with a good grasp of preventative maintenance processes.
     You will ensure that your activities comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
     You will establish and develop successful working relationships with a network of local and international suppliers.
     You will work with contracting resources and OEM’s to perform a variety of tasks.
     You will be supporting Research and Development work on future models by providing support, ideas and bespoke items required to develop new processes.
     You will monitor and react to feedback from equipment monitoring systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience of the Maintenance Technician:
Essential:
Electrical: Fault finding, Testing, Installation, Inspection, Functional Testing
Component replacement and all other activities linked to electrical maintenance.
     Mechanical: All mechanical tasks on site ranging from belt changes to motor installs
     Hydraulics: Fault finding, Component replacement, inspection and testing
Desirable:
Robotics: Fault finding and Re-Programming, Maintenance, Servo-drive related tasks and inspections.
     PLC’s: Siemens service experience preferred.
     You will have proficient experience in Engineering and Maintenance ideally gained within a manufacturing environment.
     You will have experience working with Computerised Maintenance Management Software [CMMS] included in this should be spares, consumables and equipment management.
