About the Role 
Lotus is recruiting for an experienced Quality professional to join our Quality team as a Perceived Quality Attribute Leader – Appearance Quality on a permanent basis
This role will be based at our prestigious manufacturing site in Hethel.
This role will be responsible for setting and delivering the aesthetical targets for new vehicles based on benchmarking and customer data insights
Assessing and reporting status during project phases and driving resolution of identified issues
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and execute a strategic plan for achieving desired perceived quality attributes related to appearance applied in automotive interiors and exteriors
Document and capitalise on findings to communicate the appearance standards, evaluations, and improvements initiatives
Investigate, identify, and analyse appearance-related issues or concerns, working in a cross-functional team to identify root causes and implement an improved outcome to achieve the desired appearance
Check virtual and real prototypes to ensure compliance with the plan elaborated to set Perceived Quality of appearance expectations
Report and feed expectations back to various stakeholders by using the appropriate means
Prospect and identify for new technologies, materials, features, solutions, trends, which could enhance the appearance quality perceived by using benchmarking, customer insights, contact with suppliers, automotive events, etc
Identify the best value for the customer in decision-making process specifically during cost or volume challenges and be able to protect the outcome where it matters the most for the end customer
 
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Degree Qualified in relevant field
Deep understanding of factors that influence perceived quality
Familiarity with Human Factors
Empathy for the customer / end-user
Strong analytical skills
The ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently
Enthusiastic and passionate about Perceived Quality
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team but also able to work independently  
Desirable:  
Previous experience within the wider automotive manufacturing industry
Understanding of the challenges inherent to complex assemblies and technologies
