Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
Description✓Position: Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
✓Location: Derby
✓Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am-5:00pm [40 hrs]
✓Pay: £30,000 plus bonus
✓Contract: Permanent
✓Overtime: Available paid at 1.5X
✓Details of the Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator Opportunity
✓My client is a well-established commercial vehicle repair business with multiple sites who are continuing to grow due to increased workloads
✓Looking to add an additional Vehicle Estimator to their new Derby site where you will be working on all types of light vehicles.
✓
✓Key duties of the Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
✓To inspect damaged vehicles and assess the full extent of the damage sustained, assess thecost of repair and time scales
✓To identify the correct prescribed repair method
✓To prepare computerised and manual estimates
✓To obtain authorities as appropriate from insurers and customers
✓Order parts
✓To communicate effectively with peers, engineers and technicians to ensure understanding
✓of correct vehicle repair methodology
✓To ensure that any supplementary work is authorised by the customer
✓To arrange subcontract repairs
✓ To be successful in this Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator role you will need to be/have
✓• Current Audatex certification
✓Experience of working as an estimator in a body shop or accident repair environment
✓Microsoft Office experience i.e
✓Word, Excel, Outlook
✓ATA qualification or other motor industry qualification beneficial
✓Knowledge of EMACS system beneficial
