✓The Tank Museum is looking for a Vehicle Technician Team Leader who is passionate about historic vehicles and has traditional engineering skills to assist the workshop management team in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of our historic running vehicles
✓This is a hands-on role offering a unique opportunity to work in a heritage engineering environment, ensuring that the vehicle maintenance, repair and overhaul projects are carried out to a high standard and are delivered on time.
✓You will need to have experience in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of traditional vehicle technology
✓You will be an effective team player, with good people skills that welcomes responsibility and works well under pressure whilst assisting the management team in planning, coordinating and reporting
✓You will be self-motivated, eager to use and share your skills and experience with a team of staff, apprentices and volunteers
✓This role will be operating within a high-profile department and liaising right across the Museum, as well as with external organisations and suppliers.
✓You will need NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in engineering together with health & safety qualifications relevant to a workshop operation
✓You will have experience in maintaining, repairing and overhauling complex vehicles and sub-systems, diagnostic and fault finding mechanical, dc electrical and hydraulics
✓Experience of managing or supervising a team is required.
