Description✓We are currently recruiting for a permanent Chef to join our client's kitchen team
✓Our client runs a gastropub Located in the heart of Hackney, Stoke Newington - London.
✓The Chef will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, recipe development, staff training and management, inventory management, and kitchen equipment maintenance.
✓The successful candidate will have a passion for creating delicious dishes, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and have a proven track record of supporting and developing high-performing kitchen teams.
✓Salary & Working Hours:
✓* Salary: £27,291 - £28,567
✓* Contractual Working hours: 42-48 hours per week
✓* Shift Patterns: Mon-Sun | Shifts on a rota.
✓Kitchen's Operating Hours:
✓* Monday - Friday: 5 pm – 9:30 pm
✓* Saturday: 12 pm – 9:30 pm
✓* Sunday: 12 pm – 7:30 pm
✓Key Responsibilities:
✓* Help in the preparation and design of all food menus Produce high-quality plates both design and taste-wise.
✓* train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance.
✓* Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
✓* Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers.
✓* Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work.
✓* Positive and approachable manner.
✓* Team player qualities.
✓Essential Requirements:
✓* Proven experience as a Chef or chef de partie in a high-volume restaurant environment
✓* Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of international and regional cuisines
✓* Experience in food preparation and recipe development
✓* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
✓* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and customers
✓* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
✓* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
✓* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
✓* A degree or diploma in culinary arts or a related field is preferred, but not required
