Description✓Our client is looking for a Cook to join a fantastic team of experienced individuals in the Todmorden area, OL14, 15 minute drive from Hebden Bridge.
✓Annual Salary:
✓* £22,000 to £25,000 DOE
✓Working Pattern of the Cook:
✓* 40 hours per week
✓* 4 days on, 3 days off
✓* Occasional Weekends off.
✓Benefits:
✓* One free meal each working day.
✓* Optional overtime available.
✓* Tips equally shared.
✓The Cook Role:
✓To deliver a high quality catering service which meets the needs of customers, ensuring catering standards are achieved, maintained and delivered to deadlines.
✓* Prepare, cook and present; starters, main meals and desserts, including any individual customer dietary meals.
✓* Oversee that cleaning duties are undertaken and ensuring kitchen and dining areas are tidy, hazard-free, and the other staff members are observing the associated risk assessments.
✓* Order food stocks in relation to planned menus, and when deliveries arrive, to check delivery notes against what has been supplied and report discrepancies to the supplier in the first instance, raising issues with the Manager if they are not resolved.
✓* Maintenance of authorised food stock levels and completion of stock returns by date required.
✓* Undertake routine checks of equipment, cleaning materials, etc.
✓* On the job training available
✓Chef Key Tasks:
✓* Preparing food
✓* Assisting and support of colleagues
✓* Complying with Health & Safety Policy and COSHH Regulations with regards to food equipment, materials and general safety.
✓* Adhering to all procedures within the company catering operations manual
✓Candidate Requirements
✓* Previous experience in a similar environment is ideal
✓* Friendly and polite manner
✓* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy environment
✓* Willingness to train up to chef level if at trainee currently.
