Community Engagement and Fundraising Officer – The Role:                                            We are seeking someone who can design and deliver our community engagement programme
This will include responsibility for the development of inclusive activities, being our community liaison - improving the profile of the school, fundraising, and managing and increasing our social media presence.
The role holder will build and strengthen relationships with community, voluntary and civic organisations locally and within the local authority
They will establish, maintain and deliver an external funding strategy as well as manage the organisation's online presence by developing and implementing their social media strategy.
Your main duties include;
•    Develop and agree the Community Engagement strategy for the organisation.•    Seek opportunities to raise the school’s profile in the local and wider community, by leading in the planning of and participation in events, celebrations etc.•    The management of projects, activities and resources which can be used as vehicles through which inclusive activities can be driven, both for our students off-site and other students/organisations coming to Bradstow, as well as liaising and advising colleagues, to identify and implement inclusion projects as well as other school-wide projects as the occasion demands•    Be responsible for organising school fundraising events and take a driving role with the Friends of Bradstow [registered charity] ensuring fundraising opportunities are maximised.
Community Engagement and Fundraising Officer – What we need from you: Essential;
•    NVQ Level 4 or equivalent and / or equivalent work experience•    Experience of successfully managing a project from inception to delivery.•    Experience of successfully supporting students in an Inclusive activity.•    Experience of successfully bidding for external funding in order to undertake a project.•    A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation to advertising/branding and community.•    Strong copywriting and editing skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write a successful tweet/update using effective storytelling techniques
