The Royal Parks [TRP] is a charity created in March 2017
We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London
These are: Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.
We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens
Our eight Royal Parks and other public spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.
We are now looking for a Fundraising Officer to join our team on a full-time basis for a 12 month fixed term contract, working 36 hours per week
We will also consider a part-time position, working 28.8 hours per week.

The Role
As a Fundraising Officer, you will provide operational support for our Commemorative Giving, Gifts in Wills, Major Giving and Challenge Events programmes, especially our bench dedication scheme.
As the main point of contact for enquiries from current and potential bench donors, you’ll co-ordinate the digitisation of bench and tree dedication files and liaise with contractors and suppliers to organise replacements or repairs of memorial benches.
You’ll help the Challenge Events Officer to steward our Challenge Event’s participants and support the Legacy and Major Giving Manager with the administration and development of our Legacy and Major Giving pipelines.
Additionally, you will:
- Prepare communications for bench dedicators and In Memory donors
- Develop an accurate digital map of The Royal Parks’ dedicated benches
- Raise purchase orders and process invoices for benches and plaques
About You
To be considered as a Fundraising Officer, you will need:
- Fundraising experience, ideally in a small to medium-sized charity
- Experience of, or that would be transferable to, handling sensitive conversations with people who have been bereaved with empathy and tact
- Excellent administrative skills with the ability to accurately maintain large quantities of data
- Excellent writing skills
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
