✓Role & Responsibilities of the Fundraising Officer – Philanthropy:
✓* With support from the Philanthropy and Partnerships Researcher, identify and research local High Net Worth Individuals [HNWI’s] with the propensity and capability to support through mid and major gifts
✓* Manage personal portfolio of HNWI’s to secure gifts and sustainable income, through building and managing a pipeline of prospects to achieve agreed income targets and KPIs
✓* Write bespoke and compelling funding proposals, focused on emotional storytelling, that clearly demonstrate need and impact
✓* Undertake appropriate due diligence and risk assessments; ascertain whether gift agreements need to be put into place and monitor against agreed expectations
✓* Prepare high quality briefings with clear recommendations on opportunities and key messages for Philanthropy Lead, Senior Leadership Team and Trustees
✓* Organise own [as well as facilitating on behalf of others] visits, meetings, and events that are engaging and well matched to the supporters’ interests
✓* Provide exceptional supporter care and first class, donor-centred customer service driven by insight, individual needs and preferences, which will include timely and thoughtful thanking
✓* Work with the Events Team to explore the opportunity of hosting HNWI’s at events
✓* Work with Philanthropy Lead to develop annual budgets and forecasting
✓* Provide and present financial reports for internal and external audiences
✓* Develop, agree and achieve KPI’s [financial and non-financial].
✓* Provide line management responsibility to a Major Gift Co-Ordinator, Philanthropy Researcher, Philanthropy Apprentice and Philanthropy/Fundraising volunteers
✓* Proactively enhance and manage all CRM data insuring that we record correctly and comply with GDPR regulations
✓* Secure internal support for the future development of Philanthropic Giving via networking with colleagues and volunteers across the charity
✓About You as the Fundraising Officer – Philanthropy:
✓* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
✓* Relationship driven with the ability to negotiate and influence at a high level
✓* Excellent attention to detail as well as organisation and prioritisation skills
✓* Proven track record of achieving against targets and budgets
✓* Proven success in identifying and developing new prospects
✓* Experience of writing effective proposals, pitches or bids
✓* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
