Health & Wellbeing Manager

DescriptionValley House is committed to creating and promoting a work environment that proactively supports the health and wellbeing of all its staff and volunteers.  We have recently been awarded the Silver Level Thrive at Work quality mark and are keen to further embed and grow our health and wellbeing offer.  We are looking for a Staff Health & Wellbeing Manager, initially on a fixed term, 12 month contract.  Can you help Valley House develop and implement this work, building on what we currently do?
Valley House is a multi service charity based in Coventry and offer:
A competitive salary of £29,560 p.a.
Contributory pension scheme.
Annual leave 26 days + bank holidays with an additional day’s leave for every 2 years of service up to a maximum of 29 days per annum.
A comprehensive in-house training programme.
What We Do:
The charity has a fully trained staff team providing Supported Accommodation to victims of domestic abuse and with complex needs.  We have an on-site Children’s Nursery that provides full day care for pre-school children and a Counselling service for our service users.
We are looking for a reliable and committed individual who is able to:
Develop and implement an organisational staff health and wellbeing strategy, building on what we currently have in place.
Be responsible for ensuring we make good on our Silver Level Thrive at Work commitments.
Lead on our Gold Level Thrive at Work application.
The successful candidate will have:
HND/equivalent vocational qualification or extensive experience within the field of health and wellbeing.
Mental Health First Aider qualified or willing to undertake this training.
Experience of developing and delivering training/workshops.
Experience of working within a confidential setting.
Experience of writing reports.
Knowledge of effective interventions to improve staff health and wellbeing.
Understanding and passion for the work of Valley House.
Highly organised skills with the ability to prioritise work accordingly to meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well with others and build strong relationships.
Competent in the use of IT tools, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
This post requires a satisfactory DBS check. 
The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week.
