We are seeking an Activities & Group Work Coordinator to plan, manage and develop our in-house group work programme and engage our clients with local activities and services
These would be tailored to their individual needs and interests, to empower clients to manage and improve their mental and physical health, whilst gaining the skills and confidence to live more independently

Position: Group Work Coordinator
Location: Brighton
Salary: £27,417 [including Anti-Social Hours Enhancement]
Hours: 37 hours per week on average over a 6-week rolling rota between 8am - 10:30pm working alternate weekends

About the Role
The Activities & Group Work Coordinator will be responsible for the group work and activities programme incorporating our clients’ individual interests, as well as the service needs, including one to one support
Areas of support may include substance misuse, mental health needs, money management and literacy/numeracy.
You will:
Work closely with the Shore House team in meeting the needs of all 20 residents.
Get to experience and create fun and engaging activities with residents and the team.
Work creatively and flexibly in partnership with our clients and their support worker[s].
Build mutually beneficial relationships with other community services to enhance client opportunities.
Use psychologically informed ways of working to provide support, which is empathic, responsive, and flexible to a diverse range of motivation levels, aspirations and aims.
Enhance the opportunities for our clients to build their independence and overall wellbeing.
About You
You will have knowledge of the impact that mental health issues can have on a person’s everyday life, along with experience of:
Providing emotional and practical support for vulnerable adults who have complex needs.
Working with people in distress.
Establishing and maintaining effective links with relevant statutory and voluntary agencies, and community groups.
Gathering and being responsive to client feedback and using this to improve service delivery.
Planning and facilitating effective and safe groups and activities, adhering to budgets
