Mental Health Support Coach

Description2 days home and 3 days office.  Working for a national mental health charity who have won awards for being a great place to work [investors in people].  You will be working in partnership with the NHS to support people recovering from a mental health support need back into work.

You will delivery typically 19 one to one sessions a week.  4 of these are new assessments.  And the other 15 are ongoing coaching sessions.  A session could include CV writing, interview preparation, job searching or disclosing to an employer about reasonable adaptions.  Some clients might be employed, and need support navigating their mental health with their current employer.

Referrals come from the NHS, and the job seekers are there because they feel now is the time to get back to work [so they are not mandated, it’s on their terms].

If you feel you would like to support people, make a difference and help them return to work please apply via this advert - everyone gets a response [even if you receive an email saying we don’t feel your CV is the right fit, we can provide further feedback].

if you would like to speak to someone on the phone first feel free to call and ask for James [number on the Red 5 People website].

People who might have previously worked as a support worker, job coach, employment advisor, drug and alcohol worker, substance misuse practitioner or resettlement worker might be a good fit.  Also, people who have completed a health and social care course [level 2/3] might also find this a good fit
They would also look at grads in a related field such as psychology.
