Mentor [Advocacy]
Description✓The Wise Group
✓Mentor [Advocacy]
✓12 Months Fixed Term Contract
✓Remote First - principally home-based with travel in Scottish Borders
✓£25,664 + excellent benefits
✓Are you passionate about inspiring positive change? Do you have the compassion and commitment to make a positive, lasting impact on those in our society most needing help?
✓If the answer to both questions is a resounding 'yes', then The Wise Group is offering you the opportunity to enhance the lives of households either in or at risk of fuel poverty
✓As one of our Mentors on an exciting new programme, you'll take a holistic approach to help individuals and families across various areas, including energy advice, financial inclusion, employability, addiction, mental and physical health issues, low self-esteem and sociability
✓At the Wise Group, we take a compassionate approach to Relational Mentoring
✓Through this approach, we invest in the success of other people
✓As a Mentor, you'll help individuals reveal the right pathway for them rather than telling them what to do
✓You'll be working directly with a caseload of customers who need help, advice and guidance to improve their circumstances
✓Much of this will be done face-to-face in the customers' homes as you identify and act upon ways to support them.
✓This role is very much for self-starters who are comfortable taking responsibility proactively but can judge when to seek support and advice from their Team Leader or other parts of the enterprise.
✓You will also work collaboratively with partner organisations and other external stakeholders to maximise the opportunity to enhance customers' lives.
✓Access to transport is an advantage for applicants, but the most important criteria is the desire and ability to help and support some of the most vulnerable members of society
✓If this sounds like you, and you would like to learn more, we would love to hear from you Show more →
