✓Location: Bromley by Bow Centre, London
✓Contract: Part time, Fixed Term Contract
✓Salary: £11.95 per hour [LLW]
✓Hours: 17.5 hours per week
✓The Outreach & Support Worker will drive and support the delivery of a highly creative and effective community engagement programme at the Bromley by Bow Centre that delivers improvements to local understanding of Hong Kong diaspora
✓Facilitate local welcome and integration activities including delivering orientation sessions for new arrivals, which enables Hongkongers to access council and other mainstream services.
✓As an Outreach & Support Worker, you will seek to recruit people from the Hong Kong BNO community along with other far eastern Asian community members especially from the Tower Hamlets area
✓You will provide opportunities for the groups to take part in orientation and social mixing activities which will also support English language skills, building connections and reducing social isolation.
✓A key part of your role will be to work with the HKBNO community you will deliver a programme to enable participants to gain more confidence in interacting on different topics and settings
✓Based at the Bromley by Bow Centre, you will be expected to deliver sessions in outreach venues as well as producing events and trips outside of our delivery setting
✓You may also have experience in the following: Support Worker, Charity, Charities, Senior Support Worker, Third Sector, Social Care, Voluntary Sector, Healthcare Assistant, Care Staff, Care Assistant, Community Development, Care Worker, Community Support Worker, Vulnerable People, Learning Disabilities, Not for Profit, NFP, etc.
