✓Location: Birmingham
✓Contract Type: 12 Month FTC
✓Hours: Part time, 25 hours per week Monday to Friday – and could go up to 37 hours, funding dependent.
✓Salary: £17,838 - £20,150 for 25 hours [FTE £26,400 - £29,822 for 37 hours] depending on experience and qualifications.

✓CASBA is looking for a Senior Advocate to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract and play a key role in achieving our mission.
✓CASBA is a QPM accredited, independent advocacy service providing non-statutory advocacy to adults with learning disabilities across South Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
✓Working either from our main office, or wherever citizens need us, we work according to the Advocacy Charter to support up to 300 people a year to improve their lives.
✓We are passionate about the power of advocacy to empower people to speak up for themselves, express their views, make their own choices and be valued as citizens.

✓Senior Advocate Responsibilities
✓• provide direct delivery of independent, person-centred, holistic advocacy to ensure citizens’ rights and entitlements are secured
✓You will manage your own caseload.
✓• be responsible for the leadership, performance, and development of a team of two independent advocates and ensure the casework advocacy services meet quality standards and funder requirements.
✓• maintain and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.
✓• produce and interpret casework data.
✓Senior Advocate Requirements
✓• The successful candidate will be an experienced Advocate with the ability to supervise a team of two
✓Alongside monthly supervision of your team, you’ll work with another Senior Advocate, to provide bi-monthly casework supervision.
✓• You’ll be a good communicator and have demonstrable IT skills with the ability to learn new software and applications – training will be provided
✓You will take on the role of Safeguarding Lead for the organisation, attending BASB stakeholder meetings
✓You’ll be supported by the Deputy Safeguarding Lead, the Trustee Safeguarding Lead and the CEO.
