Senior Community Clinical Psychologist
Description✓Sirona Medical are seeking for a Senior Community Clinical Psychologist
✓The duties and responsibilities of this role include: [But not limited to]
✓To provide specialist psychological assessment of adults with acquired brain injury referred to the regional community related services, utilising and interpreting information from a variety of sources:
✓To formulate cases at preadmission assessments, inpatient treatment and follow up care including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self report scales, direct and indirect structured observations, and semi-structured interviews with clients,family members and others involved in the client’s care.
✓To formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of client’s neuropsychological and mental health problems based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice.
✓To undertake a range of psychological therapeutic and rehabilitation interventions, drawing on a range of psychological models and employing a range of modalities [individual, family, group] adapted and tailored tothe needs of the individual and the context.
✓To monitor the effectiveness of interventions and report back to the team.
✓To exercise autonomous professional judgement and responsibility for the psychological management of clients on own case load.
✓To be responsible for providing a specialist psychological perspective in the multi-disciplinary assessment of service users and their families
✓To contribute highly specialist psychological advice to the multi-disciplinary formulation of appropriate therapeutic approaches or intervention plans, and to be involved in, or oversee specialist psychological aspects of their implementation in collaborations with other staff.About You
✓Do you have a degree in Psychology accepted by BPS for graduate basis registration or equivalent?
✓Registrated with the HCPC
✓Knowledge of relevant legislation to the client group.
✓Demonstrate an interest in clinical neuropsychology.
✓General knowledge of acquired brain injury pathology, neuroanatomy, symptoms, characteristics, course of recovery and rehabilitation approaches
✓ This includes but is not limited to –traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular disease and understanding the different types of strokes, encephalopathy, hypoxic brain injury, amongst others
