We are seeking a Session Facilitator to facilitate and organise daily sessions in a charity that provide a range of services to facilitate the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
Position: Support Worker / Session Facilitator
Location: Ravenshead
Salary: £18,070.52 per annum pro rata [FTE salary £21,859]
Hours: 31 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Closing date: 16th May 2023
Interviews: Will be conducted at the earliest opportunity with suitable candidates
About the role:
As Session Facilitator you will work within a small, enthusiastic team, alongside the members offering practical support with activities and spending time getting to know them, helping to alleviate loneliness and encourage them to maintain their independence and stay within their own homes.  Some members have additional needs in the form of reduced mobility or cognitive impairment and they may require a higher level of support. 
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Establish and maintain a supportive role with members to help ensure that their needs are met
Support the Centre Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the club
Help to plan a varied programme of activities
Assist with the supervision of Club volunteers working in sessions
Accurately complete daily attendance records, including incident reports
Escort members who use centre transport to and from their homes, ensuring their well-being
About you:
As Session Facilitator you will need to have a qualification in health and social care or equivalent experience.  A good understanding and experience of working with older people, particularly those living with dementia, as well as knowledge and experience of planning and delivering engaging activities.
Most important is a commitment to providing compassionate, person centred care to vulnerable people. 
The role requires an Enhanced DBS check.
