Trainee Estimator

✓As a Trainee Estimator, you will work closely with their experienced estimating team to learn the fundamental skills necessary for accurate cost estimation

✓You will be involved in various estimating tasks, including quantity take-offs, cost analysis, subcontractor engagement, and bid preparation

✓Responsibilities:
✓• Assist senior estimators in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
✓• Perform quantity take-offs and detailed material take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings.
✓• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
✓• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing information and ensure accurate cost inputs.
✓• Prepare and submit bid packages and proposals in a timely manner.
✓• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to project execution.
✓Requirements:
✓• A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
✓• Prior experience in the construction industry, either through internships, work placements, or academic projects, is advantageous but not essential.
✓• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
✓• Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
✓• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
✓• A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
