HR&OD Programme Manager

✓£500 per day
✓Location: Southwark
✓Akton Resourcing are currently working with a local authority to recruit a Programme Manager to work on a Human Resources and Organisational Development project for 6-months
✓The project will focus on ensuring the HR&OD service is an effective enabler of the Council Delivery Plan
✓A detailed scope for the programme is still to be developed, but key workstreams will include:
✓* A new HR&OD operating model.
✓* Significant structural changes, including the creation of new resourcing and OD functions.
✓* Implementing improvements to HR systems and transactional services.
✓* Modernising the Councils pay, grading and HR policy frameworks.
✓The purpose of this role is to provide programme management support for the transformation of the HR&OD service
✓Reporting to our interim Director of People and Organisational Development, the Programme Manager will:
✓* Develop and secure agreement to the programme scope.
✓* Collaborate with colleagues across the HR&OD service to build buy-in to the programme and clarify responsibilities for delivery
✓* Establish and manage the governance, programme management and reporting arrangements required to support successful programme delivery.
✓* Communicate goals and progress to HR&OD colleagues, stakeholders and the wider workforce.
✓* Proactively identify and address emerging issues and risks.
✓* Play a hands on role in delivering quick wins whilst the programme scope is being developed.
✓Experience and Skills:
✓* Excellent Programme Management skills.
✓* Excellent communication skills.
✓* Previous experience of enabling change within a local authority.
✓* Previous experience of designing and delivering similar programmes.
✓* Previous experience of working collaboratively with colleagues in a HR&OD service or similar.
✓Flexible working would be available for the suitable candidate, two days per week from home, three days office based.
