✓My client are a leading global consultancy , due to large scale growth and development within key internal functions they are recruiting a number of Platform/DevOps Engineer
✓The Platform/DevOps Engineer capability within my client is a growing team of people dedicated to ensuring that the technologies selected and the way that they are implemented meet the business objectives of there clients
✓There are several disciplines within the Digital Experience team: delivery, business, integration and digital architects and technical managers, and many of our people can perform in more than one of these roles
✓These roles are available at varying levels of seniority and the level you join the team is defined through the recruitment process.
✓Your Role
✓The role of our Platform Engineers is to focus on delivering highly available, scalable enterprise solutions on IAAS/PAAS platforms as part of dedicated or cross-function teams to engineer modern solutions based on business goals with varying levels of a DevOps maturity
✓Whether its building a Kubernetes cluster, configuring a logs analytics platform or deploying an highly available web service.
✓Implementation and maintenance of platforms and services based on the business requirements, constraints and strategies
✓You will be expected to contribute to documentation and standards for delivery of business functionality, infrastructure and system components
✓Things we seek;
✓Appetite for learning new technologies
✓Experience debugging complex, multi-server service in a high availability production environment.
✓Good communication skills both in written and verbal format with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
✓Extremely sound knowledge of GNU/Linux
✓Experience of building infrastructure in AWS using Terraform
✓AWS certification [SysOps/Developer/Architect] - preferred but not essential
✓Knowledge and experience of setting up and using configuration management tooling - Puppet preferred.
✓Reasonable fluency in at least one of: Ruby, Go, Python
✓Strong Understanding of CI environments and how they facilitate the automation process with other orchestration tools.
✓Ability to converse with both internal and external stakeholders, holding the appropriate level of conversation at all times
