Our client is seeking an individual to be a part of their small office team working in their busy office located in a rural location in Leicestershire.
A brief day to day description of the job would include:
* Liaising with customers by telephone and email on their transport requirements.
* Liaising with supply partners on current transport requirements the company has available by email / telephone / websites the company has access to.
* Data entry to the companies bespoke CRM web-based IT System as well as updating this throughout the day by liaising with drivers / supply partners or by email updates received.
* Strong IT skills are essential.
* Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
* The ability to at times work under their own initiative and the desire to promote and develop their own portfolio of clients as well as be responsible for a number of customers that are allocated to the branch.
* An analytical and proactive approach to problem solving as well as excellent attention to detail would be essential for this role.
* The role can be demanding at times so the candidate must be able to multitask and keep a level head under pressure.
* Previous transport experience would be desirable but not essential.
* Due to the location of the job the ability to make their own way by their own means of transport is essential as there are no public transport links close by.
* Office hours are Monday to Thursday 8am - 5.30pm and Friday 8am - 5pm
