Business Development Manager - Composites

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is working with a client seeking a flexible, full-time Business Development Manager - Composite Materials, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package and opportunity to work remotely.
✓As a Business Development Manager – Composite Materials, you will be responsible for growing our business in the Advanced Materials sector across the UK
✓The primary offerings are Autoclave and Controls solutions and services for use in the manufacture of composite materials.
✓You will ensure that high-quality, value-adding solutions are offered to customers, in terms of aftersales support, warranty packages and control system integration and optimisation solutions.
✓Personally develop business plans and market strategies to encourage targeted growth through effective planning, performance monitoring and personal training and development.
✓To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
✓Understand and segment the target markets for composite materials manufacture in the UK, developing business plans and the go-to-market strategy that will achieve growth objectives
✓Proactively generate new business opportunities using marketing qualified leads, digital marketing and through their own initiative
✓Work in conjunction with the Technical and Engineering team, developing high-value proposals, following up, negotiating, and winning new business orders in the target market segments and customers through direct personal sales activity
✓Provide regular visit reports and a monthly forecast of business opportunities
✓To apply for this business development role, you will need experience of control system integration and composite materials markets in the UK [the ability to operate overseas is highly advantageous], or a demonstrated ability to acquire the required level of expertise
✓You will also require the following:
✓Operational experience in the composite materials sector
✓Controls systems, calibration and automation engineering
✓Significant experience in a field-based technical selling environment
✓Engineering or Technical Degree / HND or demonstrable direct experience
✓To travel abroad initially for 10 – 15% of the year
