Description✓Support Worker Role for young person– UXBRIDGE - Female Support Worker
✓Full time position 37+ hours/week

✓ Weekdays 7am-9am and3.30pm- 7.30pm [term-time]
✓ 7.30am-7.30 pm [school holidays]
✓ Weekends 8am-7.30pm
✓ Nightshifts 7.30pm-9am
✓An exciting opportunity is available for the role of a Support worker, caring for 16-year-old young lady with physical and learning disabilities.
✓The ideal candidate will be compassionate, professional and committed to providing high quality carein accordance with CQC standards.
✓Excellent communication skills are vital and an ability to be attuned to the client’s needs and build an appropriate rapport.
✓Due to the personal nature of the role, female applicant need only apply.
✓The Client
✓The Client is a 17-year-old female with Cerebral palsy, epilepsy, gastrostomy, and developmental delay.
✓The client is a wheelchair user, and requires support with all activities of daily living, and to engage in social interests and hobbies. She enjoys socialising and exploring the local community.
✓The Role
✓The candidate will be required to provide 2:1 care on daytime shifts, and 1:1 care overnight, in accordance with a rota.
✓The candidate will be required to follow care plans and therapists’ guidance, and work in a family centred way.
✓Manual handling, medication administration, gastrostomy feeding, personal care, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment are some of the skills involved in this role.
✓Essential
✓Must have experience working with young people with additional health and learning needs.
✓Must be reliable, punctual, professional and friendly.
✓Must have experience with manual handling, personal care, medicine, administration and PEG feeding.
✓Must have excellent communication skills, caring, with good initiative and problem solving skills.
✓Ability to work effectively as an individualand as part of a small team.
✓Willing to assist with maintaining clean and safe environment.
✓Willing to be trained in new skills.
✓Must be fluent in English - both written and verbal.
✓Must have a satisfactory DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK. [*We do not offer sponsorship]
✓Desirable
✓Experience working with young people with complex health needs at home.
✓Experience working with people who have epilepsy
✓
✓Full UK driving license.
✓Flexibility to occasionally adjust or increase hours in accordance with the client and family’s needs
