Overall purpose of role
This role leads the development and delivery of projects within the Barclays Remediation Portfolio
The project manager will work with a virtual team of product, subject matter, and delivery specialists to initiate, design, deliver, and maintain governance of projects to compensate customers for when we have got things wrong
This is a role with the customer at the heart as we rectify problems of the past as efficiently and accurately as possible.
Each project will be different, it will involve different products, different customers, and different issues that need to be fixed
What stays the same is how our project managers use their knowledge of project management processes and supporting tools to drive forward delivery in a way which aligns to our Barclays values and mindset.
Key Accountabilities
Using Project Management methodologies and tools to initiate, design, deliver, and govern projects
Work with analysts to determine the project scope and document the project requirements
This will include working with specialist colleagues to identify the scale of the population of customers that we need to compensate and the amount of redress that needs to be provided to them.
Identification of project risks and issues, taking action to resolve these
Management and production of project Management Information to inform a wide range of stakeholders of project progress and any hotspot areas of concern
Lead a virtual team of project, business, and functional stakeholders to complete the activities required to achieve successful completion of the project
Help the team to prioritise activity where needed.
Look for opportunities to continuously improve processes, methodologies, and tools and roll these out across the team.
Essential Skills
Knowledge and experience of Project Management methodologies
Business/data analysis experience
Strong communication skills
Comfortable with problem solving and innovating within role.
Excel, power point and MSP experience
Knowledge of the Barclays Purpose, Values and Mindset and how to apply these within roles.
Desirable Skills
Detailed knowledge of Barclays Products
A formal project management qualification
Experience of Remediation
