Business Development/Sales Manager
Description✓Location: National
✓Salary: £28,000 - £58,000 + car allowance + commission + pension + free office parking with EV charging
✓Summary:
✓This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Sales/BDM who is looking for the next step in their career within the logistics sector
✓Our client is an established Freight-forwarder/Third-party logistics provider offering global logistics, warehousing/fulfilment, and customs brokerage services to well-known and reputable clients
✓In order to continue with their ongoing growth strategy, a high calibre, ambitious and motivated Business Development Manager is now required
✓You will need to be commercially and operationally astute and able to identify and develop new and existing business opportunities as well as be experienced with selling Air, Ocean and European road transport solutions in the logistics sector
✓Key Responsibilities:
✓Manage existing client accounts
✓Follow up on new business enquiries
✓Identify and develop new business opportunities for the selling of Ocean, Air and some EU road solutions
✓Own the sales process from lead generation to closing the sale
✓Business development of warehousing/fulfilment and customs brokerage services
✓Create and maintain sales pipeline using CRM software
✓Maintain a monthly sales activity
✓Develop and implement strategic sales-plan in conjunction with General Manager
✓Key Skills/Experience:
✓Field sales experience within the Freight Forwarding / 3PL sector
✓Proven ability to generate own sales-leads
✓Knowledge of Incoterms and freight-forwarding processes
✓Good commercial ability
✓Ambitious and looking for career progression
✓Excellent negotiation and networking skills
✓Freight quotations and rate negotiations basic experience [preferable]
