Cargo Duty Manager

DescriptionPremier Work Support have a fantastic and exciting opportunity for a permanent Cargo Duty Manager for one of our prestigious clients based in Heathrow.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing a team and carrying out cargo procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Organisation and management of Warehouse and Clerical staffing levels, resource, and equipment, in line with both operational needs and cost
Manage all aspects of Health and Safety
Develop staff through coaching/ Training
Shift planning to ensure all deadlines and Quality standards are met
To have and hold Security training and monitor Security Procedures & Requirements
Complete stats, report on operational failures
Liaise / Deal with staff on rostering
Deal with low level staff disciplinary
Managing absence and conducting Return to Work interviews
Manage the day-to-day operation, liaising with Airlines, GSA's, Agents, and customers
Manage Security/ Quality/ Company / Airline procedures & requirements
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of: ABS/NCTSMeasures of Performance
Deadlines met for all export / import / trucks
Deadlines met and correct completion of import / export flight files in line with CAA and company regulations
Management of Health & Safety procedures & requirements on a shift basis
Management of Security procedures & requirements on a shift basis.
Management of Quality procedures & requirements on a shift basis
Management of Company / Airline procedures and requirements
Training of staff for local operational aspects
Warehouse team leaders and staff are performed safely at all times and door waiting times are kept to a
Ensure damage, over-shipments and under-shipments are reported to the customer, using appropriate procedures and documentation
Effective management of staffing whilst on shift - ensuring manning levels are adequate for operational needs, and costs, [overtime, sickness], are kept to a minimum and within budgetary
Absence/sickness is robustly managed in line with company procedures and acceptable level
Manage inventory of all essential consumables, ensuring stock levels are / Security walk-rounds, ensuring all damage to equipment and/or building is reported
Ensure staff evacuation procedures are followed in the event of a Fire/Security alertSalary: up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience.
Hours: 2 Days - 7am to 7pm and 2 Nights - 7pm to 7am.
