Demand Planner

Brook Street is looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join a large organisation located in Splott, Cardiff
This role is for a large manufacturing company
This role is Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30, with a half hour early finish on Fridays.
Production Schedule Maintenance
The loading and control of the Manufacturing Orders via MRP System and to run MRP program at the end of each day

Works Order Control
Release material via works orders [kits] in line with the demands generated via the M3 MRP System.
Liaise with Stores Department to ensure the timely issuing of kits
Coordinate the storage and transfer of materials / products to and from the external storage facility.
Liaise with Production Department for the replenishment of material.
Closing Manufacturing Orders as required.
Safety Stock
Maintenance of the planning criteria for all make items in the M3 ERP system to enable Finished Goods stock replenishment, making sure minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained.
Sales Requirement Coordination
First point of contact for Customer Care Department regarding product availability information.

Attend Meetings

Managing Change
Raising change request when required.
Raising change notes when instructed.

New Product development
First point of contact for engineering to raise trial batch kits for future development
Create the kit list for engineering
Liaise with production manager on resource availability
What type of skills/experience do I need to be considered for this role?
Previous experence of inventory management
Costing experience
MRP knowledge essential
Good communication skills essential
Computer literacy including Microsoft packages is essential [Excel]
Must have excellent attention to detail
