Finance Assistant
Description✓Finance Assistant
✓£11.50-£12ph PAYE
✓Temp to Perm - Luton
✓Randstad are currently working in collaboration with a rapidly expanding medical trading business near Luton
✓This busy, successful and expanding international business are seeking an accounts focused, organised and autonomous Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis to support the smooth running of a busy department.
✓Key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant includes:
✓Processing of all purchase invoices on Sage 50
✓Reconcile invoices against purchase orders and resolve queries with relevant buyer/supplier
✓Weekly bank payment run and ad-hoc payments
✓Supplier / client reconciliations
✓Bank reconciliation covering all postings
✓Assist with credit control
✓Assist with stock records
✓Maintenance of supplier and customer accounts on Sage [credit terms/credit insurance]
✓Assist with reconciliation of invoice discounting account with bank
✓EU VAT return processing - work with Management Accountant on returns
✓Sales invoicing
✓Any other duties as required
✓Key skills
✓Excellent oral and written communication skills
✓Ability to work as part of a team
✓Excellent analytical and numerical skills
✓Accuracy and an eye for detail
✓Excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
✓Strong commercial acumen
✓Excel - Intermediate
✓Experience of working in a high performing finance team
