Junior Transport Coordinator
Description✓Acorn by Synergie is searching for a Junior Transport Coordinator to join their client, a chemical manufacturer based in Runcorn, Cheshire.
✓Forming part of a small team and reporting to the Distribution Manager, the purpose of the role is to liaise with hauliers, drivers, customers, suppliers and sites to ensure orders are collected and delivered on time.
✓Duties will include:
✓* Learning all areas of transport and logistics [including bulk / packed / shipped]
✓* Inputting sales / purchase orders onto the internal system
✓* Planning and coordinating deliveries / collections for UK customers
✓* Liaising with customer, suppliers, drivers, haulers and depots
✓* Investigating into customer complaints and non conformances
✓* Working closely with the transport team and other colleagues to ensure all transport related objectives are achieved
✓Although some logistical experience would be good it is not essential as full training will be provided
✓The ability to plan, prioritise a busy workload under pressure to deadlines is important along with knowledge of UK geography
✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deliver impeccable customer service is essential.
✓Hours of work are Monday to Friday 35 hours per week.
✓Salary is dependent on the knowledge and skill set to offer.
