Senior Trading Executive

DescriptionAs the Senior Trading Executive your primary responsibility will be to source stock from manufacturers of national and international household brands.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded trader who wants to drive their earning potential by forging long term, commercial relationships and ensure competitive pricing to drive revenue.
A background in products from gifting, soft furnishings, garden furniture, accessories, homeware, seasonal products, beauty to crafts or workwear! Would be advantageous! However, it's the person that really matters

Responsibilities:
Directly reporting into the Owners of the business you'll be an integral part of the business to grow its' product offering to customers and overall turnover.
Full responsibility of key accounts with suppliers from Global supply chains.
Interface with Senior Directors to Middle management to secure product.
Analysis Product prices to mitigate cost and maximise trading margin.
With the owners budgeted profit pricing.
Researching and identifying new product opportunities across new supply routes, growth areas and partnerships which can include International Brand products yet to be seen in existing markets.
Establish a value added service to your suppliers and be seen as the go too! Networking and Trade Fair Attendance
Attend Domestic and International exhibitions and trade fairs.
Seek to drive your relationships with manufacturers and other suppliers of brand products.
Be a commercial lead for the business.
To be successful in this role, these are the key attributes and commercial mind-set needed:
Establishing and maintaining progressive relationships with suppliers.
Be a fantastic communicator with strong interpersonal skills and have the confidence to speak to people at different seniority levels.
You should understand sales behaviour and be able to consult with suppliers to gain their product at the right price.
Develop an understanding of how suppliers work in order to determine who the decision-makers are and have the ability to build a successful relationship and value proposition to met their and your needs.
Make contact and forming productive and profitable relationships.
Delivering a service, from the initial conversation, negotiating to inbound of inventory.
Have strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure competitive prices and favourable terms.
High degree of commercial acumen
Be a driven, tenuous individual with a will to succeed.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Buyer, Senior Buyer, Buying Manager, Trader, Trading Manager, Product Sourcing, Purchaser role
Ideally a background in products from gifting, soft furnishings, garden furniture, accessories, homeware, seasonal products, beauty to crafts or workwear! Other product background will be considered.
Package:
Senior Trading Executive £40K-£65k [OTE included]
inclusive of Basic & Bonus - Realistic first year trading
Expected OTE £80K in your 2nd year - Uncapped bonus structure
Trading Executive £35K-£55k
inclusive of Basic & Bonus - Realistic first year trading
Expected OTE £70K in your 2nd year - Uncapped bonus structure.
Expenses 20 days holiday + BH Finish at 4pm on Friday Free on-site parking International Travel required
