Trade Compliance Specialist / Export Compliance Officer
Description✓A market leading Defence company is currently recruiting for an Trade Compliance Specialist / Export Compliance Officer to join on a permanent basis in their Ellesmere Port office on a hybrid working basis [1-2 days onsite per week].
✓The Trade Compliance Specialist / Export Compliance Officer will be responsible to advise and provide expertise relating to all export control / trade compliance activities working with cross-functional teams and applying for UK licensing applications through SPIRE.
✓An understanding of US Export Control [ITAR/EAR] would be advantageous and not essential.
✓Role - Trade Compliance Specialist / Export Compliance Officer
✓Salary - £45,000-£60,000
✓Type - Permanent
✓Location - Ellesmere Port [Hybrid working]
✓Key responsibilities for Trade Compliance Specialist / Export Compliance Officer and will not limited to:
✓Managing the trade compliance and export licences for transportation of goods and supplies
✓Ensuring process and standards are upheld; reviews and recommends improvements to procedures to ensure export licences are in place efficiently to improve on-time delivery
✓Maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that export control is managed effectively and efficiently
✓The successful candidate will ensure that they hold regular meetings with the customer service and procurement teams to ensure export requirements are in place
✓Responsibility identifying where End User Undertakings are required for goods or supplies and contacting suppliers and customers to ensure that they are in place as required.
✓Management of the product codification process
✓Manage the end-to-end export licence application process, this includes but is not limited to securing F680 licences and working with US colleagues to secure US International Traffic in Arms Regulations [ITAR] applications
✓Work together closely with the supply chain team to ensure that the appropriate export requirements are managed and in place to ensure regulatory compliance
✓Communicating and corresponding, as the single point of contact, with the ECJU and completing annual returns and hosting periodic ECJU Visits
✓Provide advice to Management regarding changes and updated to Export Control Regulations and detail the business impacts
✓Ensure data management of all export control information and maintenance of records
✓Work with internal stakeholders to improve export processes and system management through lean and agile management
✓Key skills and experience required for Trade Compliance Specialist / Export Compliance Officer job applicant:
✓Proven experience within a Trade Compliance / Export Compliance role
✓Experience with licensing applications through SPIRE
✓Understanding of UK & US export regulations with be advantageous
✓Ability to work with cross-functional teams
✓Must be eligible to gain SC Clearance
