Transport Administrator - Day shift
Description✓Transport Administrator - Salary £24,960k
✓Days Shifts: Working 4 On 4 Off
✓Start time: 0600 to 1800 with Overtime opportunities available
✓Our client is recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join the Operational Team
✓This role will be to execute and develop the most cost effective and efficient transport plan for the operation which will meet with customer collection schedules.
✓How will you contribute?
✓* Reporting to the Transport Supervisor.
✓* Utilising the Transport Management System to ensure that the scheduling of vehicles is carried out effectively and efficiently to achieve the optimum transport plan.
✓* Produce a daily transport plan that is both practical and achievable ensuring minimal cost and maximum profitability.
✓* Plan to ensure that customer service criteria requirements are always met.
✓* Managing drivers’ hours and infringements.
✓* Daily execution of the plan, ensuring all collections are made on time in full.
✓* Managing and controlling sub-contraction requirement.
✓* Ensure that the plan is clearly communicated to all necessary parties and maintain regular contact with both internal and external customers.
✓* Liaise very closely with the Warehouse teams to achieve the most effective loading schedule.
✓* Liaise with other sites to ensure optimum operating efficiency across the network.
✓What will you bring?
✓* Experience of working in or alongside a Transport Team.
✓* Analytical skills.
✓* Good general PC skills.
✓* Good verbal communication skills.
✓* Good knowledge of driver’s hours and WTD.
✓* Able to work under pressure in a time critical environment.
✓* Ability to communicate at all levels with both internal and external customers.
✓* Reliable, enthusiastic and flexible in approach.
✓* Working knowledge of WMS & Ortec [TMS] would be advantageous although full training will be given.
