Behaviour Mentor
Description✓We are currently seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join a Bromley Pupil Referral Unit
✓The successful candidate will work with two students in key stage 4 who have been excluded from mainstream education.
✓The school caters for students in KS3 and KS4 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health [SEMH] needs and those who have been, or are at risk of being excluded from mainstream settings
✓The school has a very creative curriculum that allows students to engage in learning through various methods.
✓Key responsibilities:
✓Build positive relationships with the students you are mentoring
✓Work with students on a one-to-one basis, developing strategies to improve their behaviour and engagement in learning
✓Monitor student progress and report to the senior leadership team
✓Work closely with teaching staff to identify students' needs and support them in the classroom
✓Attend regular meetings with parents/carers and external agenciesPerson Specification:
✓Experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs
✓A positive and proactive approach to behaviour management and mentoring
✓Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues
✓A creative and flexible approach to learning, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs
