Responsibilities:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEN
Your responsibilities will include:
Individualized Support: Provide tailored support to students both in the classroom and when they face emotional and behavioural challenges.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure students receive comprehensive and personalized support
Effective communication is essential for fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Pastoral Care: Offer pastoral support to students and their families, building positive relationships and promoting emotional well-being.
Positive Behaviour Strategies: Promote positive behaviour and relationship-building strategies within the school community, creating an inclusive and respectful environment.
Emotional and Behavioural Support: Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping them overcome challenges and achieve personal growth.
Collaborative Approach: Work collaboratively with the school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our students.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience: Hold a Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
6 months of experience working with students with SEN, particularly in addressing emotional and behavioural difficulties
Previous experience in pastoral lead work and family support is desired but not essential.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
Confidentiality and Safeguarding: Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of safeguarding the welfare of our students
Be eligible to work in the UK
Possess an enhanced child DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
