✓Responsibilities:
✓As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEN
✓Your responsibilities will include:
✓Individualized Support: Provide tailored support to students both in the classroom and when they face emotional and behavioural challenges.
✓Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure students receive comprehensive and personalized support
✓Effective communication is essential for fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
✓Pastoral Care: Offer pastoral support to students and their families, building positive relationships and promoting emotional well-being.
✓Positive Behaviour Strategies: Promote positive behaviour and relationship-building strategies within the school community, creating an inclusive and respectful environment.
✓Emotional and Behavioural Support: Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping them overcome challenges and achieve personal growth.
✓Collaborative Approach: Work collaboratively with the school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our students.
✓Requirements:
✓Qualifications and Experience: Hold a Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
✓6 months of experience working with students with SEN, particularly in addressing emotional and behavioural difficulties
✓Previous experience in pastoral lead work and family support is desired but not essential.
✓Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
✓Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
✓Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
✓Confidentiality and Safeguarding: Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of safeguarding the welfare of our students
✓Be eligible to work in the UK
✓Possess an enhanced child DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
