Central School Business Manager

DescriptionAre you an experienced School Business Manager seeking a varied and wide-ranging role? Our client, a primary Multi-Academy Trust with schools across London and Southeast England is seeking to employ a Central School Business Manager to act as the link between the Trust’s Central Services and school leaders across multiple school sites
This position will support two schools within the Bromley and Surrey regions, with an operational focus on finance, administration, ICT, human resources, estates management and Health & Safety.
This varied role will include:
* To provide strategic and operational support across non-teaching and learning areas of responsibility.
* To manage the whole school administrative function and lead all admin, finance and premises staff.
* To manage the financial resources for the schools, prepare a realistic and balanced budget for the school.
* To ensure MIS and ICT resources, support and training are provided to enable the best use of available teaching, learning and assessment systems.
* To manage the payroll services for all school staff alongside the external payroll provider.
* To lead on HR and employee relations matters.
* Support the Head of Estates, school site staff and school leaders, to be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of each respective school estate.
The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE standard including English and Maths and has, or is working towards, the Level 4 Diploma in School Business Management.
You will have previous experience of working within a school at an operational level, with knowledge of computerised finance systems, ideally PS Financials
You will possess a solid understanding of good HR processes and Health & Safety compliance, coupled with natural leadership skills
You will be forward-thinking and able to demonstrate high standards of professionalism and business acumen, be adept working within a fast-paced environment and can respond quickly to change.
