✓AK Teaching are looking to recruit Cover Supervisors in the Dewsbury area for the new academic year 2023/24
✓Ideal candidates will be experienced in Key Stages 3 and 4; but this isn't an essential requirement!
✓This is a great opportunity for graduates, ex-forces, sports coaches, retired professionals or if you are considering a future career in teaching! Considered working in schools? This could be the first step on your pathway to a hugely rewarding career!
✓We also work with our partner schools to deliver exceptional cover supervisor training!
✓As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for managing a class of students across the Secondary School age range, delivering the work that has been left when teaching staff are on short-term absence.
✓Although you will not be expected to lead the class teaching, it is important that Cover Supervisors have the relevant skills and confidence needed to keep the class motivated, focused and on task!
✓THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
✓* Basic understanding of the National Curriculum
✓* Strong communication skills
✓* Ability to cover a wide range of lessons
✓* Confidence to manage a class of pupils!
✓* Confident in their behaviour management skills - you will be working with a group of children aged 11-16!
✓* DBS on the UPDATE SERVICE or be willing to get one - we can help with this!
✓AK Teaching are looking for somebody with:
✓* Drive and ambition
✓* Ideally experience of leading sessions from past employment or teaching placements [not essential]
✓* Excellent communication skills
✓All candidates will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS [permission to check the update service if the candidate already holds a DBS]
✓We will require further consent to carry out recruitment checks.
