We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Technician to join our vibrant team at a prestigious coeducational secondary school and sixth form in Hackney.

✓As a Facilities Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing these facilities, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and conducive to learning.
✓Key Responsibilities:
✓As a Facilities Technician, you will:
✓Undertake a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across the school premises, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
✓Assist with the general maintenance of all aspects of the building, ensuring a clean, safe, and secure environment.
✓Undertaking maintenance work to keep the building, furniture and fixtures and fittings in good working order
✓Conduct regular inspections and checks to identify and resolve any potential issues promptly.
✓Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning [HVAC] systems to ensure optimal performance.
✓Collaborate with the site team to support the delivery of projects and events, providing technical assistance as required.
✓Assist in the setup and dismantling of equipment and resources for various school activities.
✓Contribute to the development and implementation of health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.Skills and Qualifications:
✓To thrive in this role, you will need:
✓Experience of facilities management in a modern building
✓[Desirable]
✓Strong technical skills across multiple disciplines, such as plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs.
✓Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
✓A proactive and self-motivated approach, coupled with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
✓Effective communication skills, enabling you to interact confidently with staff, students, and external contractors.
