We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Technician to join our vibrant team at a prestigious coeducational secondary school and sixth form in Hackney.

As a Facilities Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing these facilities, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and conducive to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Facilities Technician, you will:
Undertake a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across the school premises, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
Assist with the general maintenance of all aspects of the building, ensuring a clean, safe, and secure environment.
Undertaking maintenance work to keep the building, furniture and fixtures and fittings in good working order
Conduct regular inspections and checks to identify and resolve any potential issues promptly.
Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning [HVAC] systems to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with the site team to support the delivery of projects and events, providing technical assistance as required.
Assist in the setup and dismantling of equipment and resources for various school activities.
Contribute to the development and implementation of health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.Skills and Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you will need:
Experience of facilities management in a modern building
[Desirable]
Strong technical skills across multiple disciplines, such as plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
A proactive and self-motivated approach, coupled with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Effective communication skills, enabling you to interact confidently with staff, students, and external contractors.
