As a Food Technology Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on student's lives, equipping them with the essential knowledge and skills to thrive in the exciting world of food
Your expertise in food preparation, nutrition, and culinary techniques will help students develop a deep understanding of the subject, fostering their creativity and promoting healthy eating habits.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and interactive Food Technology lessons that cater to a diverse range of student abilities and learning styles, ensuring every student is motivated and challenged.
Create and implement a stimulating curriculum that covers a wide array of topics, including food hygiene, culinary techniques, nutrition, and food science.
Demonstrate practical skills through hands-on cooking sessions, guiding students through various recipes and culinary experiments.
Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' practical work, projects, and written assignments, supporting their individual progress and development.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting teamwork, respect, and collaboration among students.Requirements:
Qualified teacher status [QTS] or equivalent, with a specialization in Food Technology or a related field.
Relevant academic qualifications in Food Technology, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or a related discipline.
Proven experience teaching Food Technology or a related subject at the secondary school level.
Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements within the Food Technology domain.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons.
