✓As the Head of Geography at this “Good’ secondary school, the role will be to act as the key leader for curriculum development, delivery quality and innovation
✓You’ll be responsible for providing inspirational leadership in addition to the operational management of a highly effective and impactful curriculum offer
✓To further develop and drive the work of the department.
✓
✓To be successfully shortlisted for this fantastic opportunity, you will need to be a QTS teacher or have an appropriate professional qualification relevant to the department in Geography, as well as a certificate in Education or Level 5 Teaching qualification.

✓Line manage a team of staff to include undertaking appraisals, absence monitoring, first line performance management and other relevant duties.
✓Responsible for successful achievement of KPI’s including success rates, recruitment, attendance, student progression, quality of teaching, study programme implementation of Geography, and to track learner progress
✓Lead on the development of curriculum in response to curriculum changes such as T-levels & apprenticeships.
✓To further develop the school’s Geography curriculum, offer at Level 3 and above, including reactivation and development of the schools offer
✓To engage with a range of external stakeholders including employers, schools and those organisations connected with the curriculum
✓To develop the future provision planned for the school’s state of the art Advanced maths
