Higher Level Teaching Assistant [HLTA] - Blackburn

✓About the role
✓We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA to support one of our partnership schools by providing quality lessons across all year groups, working with children across EYFS-KS2
✓The successful candidate will have experience in delivering quality lessons and interventions across primary, be flexible, and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
✓The role will involve working 5 days a week [Mobday-Frday] from 8.30am - 3.30pm, and will be temporary at first but will have the potential to go permanent.
✓The role is due to start ASAP.
✓You will work closely with the school's teaching staff to provide high-quality support and teaching for the pupils, helping them to achieve their full potential.
✓The typical day-to-day duties of the successful HLTA will include:
✓Prepare lessons with the teacher’s help according to the pupil’s needs
✓Record the progress of children through assessments and classwork
✓To feedback the progress of children to the class teacher
✓To provide administrative support including dealing with photocopying etc.
✓To work within an agreed system of supervision with small groups of children and to take responsibility for their learning
✓To accompany teachers and classes on educational visits.
✓To work with the class teacher in dealing with finished work and preparing displays and filing work
✓To encourage children to work together to achieve goals
✓Provide help and support to individual pupils as required
✓Provide a safe, healthy environment, and follow safeguarding procedures

✓Requirements
✓To be considered for the role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant [HLTA] - Blackburn you will:
✓Must hold GCSE Maths and English Language at grade 4-9 [grade C or above] or equivalent.
✓Must hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent.
✓Have had experience working of supporting children in KS1 and KS2.
✓Extensive knowledge of the Key Stage 1 & 2 curriculum.
✓Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
✓Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications
✓The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
✓Must hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent.
