Higher Level Teaching Assistant [HLTA] - Blackburn

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA to support one of our partnership schools by providing quality lessons across all year groups, working with children across EYFS-KS2
The successful candidate will have experience in delivering quality lessons and interventions across primary, be flexible, and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
The role will involve working 5 days a week [Mobday-Frday] from 8.30am - 3.30pm, and will be temporary at first but will have the potential to go permanent.
The role is due to start ASAP.
You will work closely with the school's teaching staff to provide high-quality support and teaching for the pupils, helping them to achieve their full potential.
The typical day-to-day duties of the successful HLTA will include:
Prepare lessons with the teacher’s help according to the pupil’s needs
Record the progress of children through assessments and classwork
To feedback the progress of children to the class teacher
To provide administrative support including dealing with photocopying etc.
To work within an agreed system of supervision with small groups of children and to take responsibility for their learning
To accompany teachers and classes on educational visits.
To work with the class teacher in dealing with finished work and preparing displays and filing work
To encourage children to work together to achieve goals
Provide help and support to individual pupils as required
Provide a safe, healthy environment, and follow safeguarding procedures

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant [HLTA] - Blackburn you will:
Must hold GCSE Maths and English Language at grade 4-9 [grade C or above] or equivalent.
Must hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent.
Have had experience working of supporting children in KS1 and KS2.
Extensive knowledge of the Key Stage 1 & 2 curriculum.
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications
The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Must hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent.
