✓A special needs school in the borough of Lewisham is recruiting experienced HLTAs to start after the half term break or in September via the agency.
✓This multi-site school caters for pupils aged 11-19 with an EHCP for Autism [ASD], Severe Learning Difficulties [SLD] and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties [PMLD]
✓They have a strong academic focus; however, they also wish to develop student's independence in a fun and nurturing way.
✓Shortlisted candidates must have proven experience in the UK, ideally within a SEN school
✓You will work across the key stages covering classes where needed
✓Additional responsibilities will include working together with class teacher in planning lessons/activities and reporting pupils progress to teachers and SLT
✓Experience administering medication, feeding and manual handling is desirable, however for the right candidate training will be provided
✓Knowledge of PECs and Makaton is desirable.
