KS1 SEN Teacher
Description✓We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced KS1 SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team at a reputable SEN School in Lewisham
✓This position is ideal for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for special educational needs and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners.
✓Key Requirements:
✓Qualified teacher [not an Early Career Teacher] with primary training
✓British trained, with a proven track record of teaching in UK primary schools
✓Experience or a keen interest in special educational needs [SEN]
✓Available to work full timeAdditional Preferred Skills:
✓Previous experience working with PECs [Picture Exchange Communication System] or Makaton is advantageous
✓Strong leadership skills to lead a KS1 class of approximately 9 or 10 learners, supported by a minimum of two Teaching Assistants
✓Familiarity with autism and other SEN conditions
✓Capable of independently managing lesson planning [PPA time provided] and addressing the pastoral needs of the studentsAs a KS1 SEN Teacher you will have the opportunity to provide specialised support and guidance to a diverse group of students
✓Your primary responsibilities will include leading a KS1 class, ensuring their educational needs are met, and promoting their personal development
✓You will collaborate closely with a team of dedicated Teaching Assistants to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
