Learning Support Assistant
Description✓Are you a proactive Learning Support Assistant looking for a new role in East Putney, Wandsworth?
✓Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a Learning Resource Centre [ARP] within a secondary school based in East Putney, Wandsworth for September 2023
✓This is a full time, long-term role for the full academic year with a potential to go permanent upon review
✓The daily rate for the position will be between £80 to £90 dependant on experience.
✓The School:
✓The secondary school is 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated with a dedicated ARP on site for students aged between 11 - 16 years old
✓The primary diagnosis of students within the ARP is Autism however many students have additional needs including Speech and Language Delay, Visual and Hearing Impairment and Learning Difficulties
✓All students within the ARP have access to mainstream education however, the curriculum is tailored towards the needs of each individual student
✓The ARP pride themselves in developing the social, emotional and mental health of all students while promoting inclusivity in their learning
✓The ARP currently consists of up to 40 students with all students holding an Education, Health and Care Plan [EHCP]
✓The school is easily accessible by public transport and has parking on site.
✓The Position:
✓You will be based within the ARP in classes of up to 8 students that have Autism and potentially additional needs
✓You will be required to work on a 1 - 1 basis throughout the day with different students to provide additional support in their learning
✓Additionally, you will be running tailored group sessions of up to 4 students to work on struggle areas to aid their development
✓Every week, you will need to attend pupil meetings with the Class Teachers and SENCO to discuss student development and areas of improvement
✓There will be opportunities throughout the year to attend CPD's to aid your professional development
✓To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:
✓Hold previous experience working within SEN
✓Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances [if applicable] and professional reference checks
✓CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
