Remedy are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join our team and support the delivery of a personal development program to primary learners at KS1 and KS2, ensuring the best possible outcomes for learners with emerging Social, Emotional, and Mental Health [SEMH] needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Work under the guidance of Personal Development and Therapeutic Instructors to assist in the delivery of a comprehensive personal development program.
Provide individualized support to learners, assessing their needs and utilizing your specialist skills to enhance their participation.
Foster an inclusive and accepting learning environment, promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all learners.
Support learners consistently while recognizing and responding to their individual needs.
Encourage cooperative interaction among learners and actively engage them in various learning activities.
Promote independence and employ strategies to recognize and reward achievement of self-reliance, facilitating successful learning transitions.
Provide constructive feedback to learners on their progress, achievements, behaviour, and attendance.
Contribute to specific interventions designed to support learners' re-engagement in education
Main Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within the field of SEMH.
Excellent assessment skills to identify and meet the diverse needs of learners.
Strong ability to establish positive and productive relationships with learners, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support and guide learners.
Demonstrated commitment to promoting effective participation, enhancing individual learning, and raising aspirations.
Familiarity with strategies for target setting and personal reflection to support learners' progress.
A passion for education and a genuine desire to help learners achieve their full potential.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team, complementing the work of instructors.
Commitment to improving outcomes for learners at Key Stages 1 and 2
